Straighten crooked scans and slightly tilted PDF pages with precise custom rotation — not just the usual 90°, 180° or 270° turns.
Sometimes a PDF page is not upside down or sideways — it is simply a little crooked. In that case, rotating it by 90 degrees is useless.
The custom rotation feature in 123 PDF Editor PRO lets you rotate selected pages by a precise angle such as 2°, 5°, 10° or 15°.
Start by loading the document you want to straighten in 123 PDF Editor PRO.
Custom page rotation is available in Page Organizer, where all document pages are shown as thumbnails.
From this screen you can also reorder, delete, duplicate, extract and organise pages, so it is a convenient place to fix the whole PDF before exporting it.
Select the page that needs correction, or select several pages if they all have the same tilt.
This is useful for scanned documents where a batch of pages was captured at the same slight angle.
Instead of being limited to quarter-turn rotations, you can enter a precise angle for the selected pages.
For example, you might use:
The content is rotated inside the page so you can correct the angle without changing the whole document to portrait or landscape orientation.
After applying the rotation, check the updated page preview and make sure text lines, borders and images now look straight.
If the page is still slightly tilted, simply adjust the angle again until the content is properly aligned.
This makes custom rotation especially useful for scanned PDFs, where the ideal correction may be only a few degrees.
You can experiment with different angles without having to reload the original document.
This is useful when you are trying several values to find the most accurate correction.
Once the pages are straight, apply the changes and save the corrected document.
You can continue editing before downloading: add text, images, signatures, annotations, page numbers, headers, footers and other elements if needed.
The two tools solve different problems.
Use standard rotation when the entire page is facing the wrong direction, for example when a portrait page appears sideways.
Use custom rotation when the page orientation is basically correct but the content is slightly tilted because of scanning, photographing or alignment errors.
